Dr Charlotte Kirk has over a decade of experience in leadership roles across mining operations, technology development, project finance and venture capital, focused on turning complex technical opportunities into executable commercial projects.

She was previously Head of Technology at Fortescue, leading strategy and investment for a $6.2 billion industrial electrification program across renewable generation, battery storage and zero-emission mining operations, while developing a 2GW portfolio of renewable energy projects globally. She also built Fortescue's $100M CVC fund, and later established and scaled European investments for Clean Energy Ventures across $405M AUM. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, where she was an academic scholar developing new battery materials.

She also served in the British Army for 5 years, was the first female in the infantry unit, and is a North Face-sponsored endurance athlete competing at World Championships across ultra-marathons, Ironman triathlon and cross-country skiing. She set the Fastest Known Time running the 800 km Camino de Santiago, and ran 90 consecutive ultra-marathons along the 4,500 km Pacific Crest Trail. She has led expeditions across 20+ countries and delivered clean energy, water and food projects across Malaysia, Uganda, Bolivia, Kenya and Indonesia.

These experiences enable her to translate across technical and commercial teams, and drive ambiguous, high-stakes projects from problem to execution.
